Albra Lord made baskets from brown ash, pounding the
strips of wood until the growth rings separated. His baskets
became well known in the area. These beautifully handcrafted
Tanzanian baskets are woven from milulu grass. Double Wrapped
Rim and Pushed up Bottom.
A beautiful basket by Lovell, Maine basket maker Albian Lord.
Lord baskets were hard to find 30 years ago and this basket is
in great condition except for a break on one of the handles.
A Unique and wonderful basket in beautiful CHESTNUT color
with great patina. When hung from a beam it would be admired
for its construction of the unique bottom. The quality of the
work is fantastic and not surprisingly so, as Albra Lord learned
basket making from the Shakers.
