This pitcher dates from the late 1800's. The copper glazed pitcher has
a 1 1/2" wide blue band with a copper floral motif. The pitcher is 4 5/8"
high and 5 3/8" from the tip of the handle to the tip of the spout. It is in
very good used condition for it's age.
There are signs of wear and use, Great Patina, BUT NO CRACKS, CHIPS,
or FLEA BITES. There are a couple of tiny bumps in the glaze, which were
there when it was made. Some crazing on the inside of the jug - not unusual
for an item of this age.
Copper Lustreware was designed to glow in candlelight and allow the
light to move as the candle burned, decorated Lustreware became
popular in the 19th century, gaslights accented the reflective brilliance
creating lovely centerpieces; the blue floral band was added to enhance
the pieces during the day.
Pictures were difficult to take – so much reflection – trying to show you
close up of the condition. More pictures available to serious buyers.
Most people who owned Antique and Vintage Items loved and cherished
them which gives them Personality, Character, and the Patina we all love.
Please view all the pictures and send an email if you have any

Most of my items are ANTIQUE OR Vintage with patina, which adds
to the charm of the item, and will naturally show some wear from
age and use. I have endeavored to photograph and accurately
