This Sterling Silver Copy of a LINEN PRESS made in 1780-1800
by James Gheen, Rowan County, NC. It has many characteristics
typical of his work including fluted case chamfers, narrow bevels,
and heavy ogee feet. The original piece is on display at the Museum
of Early Southern Decorative Arts at Old Salem, Winston Salem, NC.
REO designers continue to create innovative jewelry using history as
the inspiration for exciting Sterling Silver wearable art of the present.
