McKearen and Metz both call this pattern one of the aristocrat
patterns of early American glass. Diamond Thumbprint made
by both Union Glass or Boston and Sandwich in the 1840-50s
period. Being Flint it rings like a bell and has a polished pontil.
Excellent Condition Just the usual wear that could be expected
with items this old. I purchased this Tumbler 30 years ago from
a dealer in Philadelphia who specialized in this pattern.
Please view all the pictures and send an email if you have any
questions. I liquidate and buy local estates, all items are sold in as
found condition. I DO NOT CUSTOMIZE, REFINISH OR REPAIR.
Most of my items are ANTIQUE OR Vintage with patina, which adds
to the charm of the item, and may naturally show some wear from
age and use. I have endeavored to photograph and accurately
describe every item as to its condition and authenticity.
