AS FOUND Condition
LARGE SCARCE Old Lion King of the Beasts 'Tail Right' Penny Still
Bank. Original Gold Paint with Red Mouth and Black Eyes. The seams
and edges are relatively smooth, not jagged, and this quality is not found
on repros/imports. Guaranteed to be original. These were used to save
small coins. EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. No repairs. Slot in top
of head. ORIGINAL SCREW. The single screw gives access to the savings.
No maker's mark.

for similar examples made by Arcade and The AC Williams Company
c.1905-1931 (bank number 754). This is the LARGER LION STILL BANK
AND IS MORE SCARCE THAN THE SMALLER ONE
Measures approximately 6 1/2" long x 5 1/4" high x 2 1/8" wide, weighing
about 1 pound 9 ounces before packing for shipment.

The bank is very well constructed, with detailed molding. The A.C. Williams
Company through the 1920's was recognized as the world's largest
manufacturer of cast iron toys. The company began in Chagrin Falls, Ohio
in 1844 by John Wesley Williams.
Estimate of age is between 83 and 109 years old.
