Vintage SANDEMAN COGNAC ROYAL DOULTON The DON FIGURAL DECANTER
Bottle 1939-55 ROYAL DOULTON, BLACK, CERAMIC PORCELAIN,
ORIGINAL, FIGURINE, COGNAC, SANDEMAN, ORIGINAL STOPPER
This is a great piece of ROYAL DOULTON Porcelain. It is an old SANDEMAN's
figural COGNAC (Topper is marked ‘Cognac’) bottle that depicts "The Don"
which was a character used by the company for advertising. Depicted is a
man dressed in all black and holding a glass of cognac. The top of his hat is
where the topper is located and this piece is dated 1939 -1955 due to the
(Two ‘A’s [1 on the left and the other under the hall mark]) next to the mark
on the bottom of the piece...
This is a great item and it would make a wonderful addition to your home or
collection. Also, would make a wonderful gift to your serious collector friend!
Specific dating of many Royal Doulton pieces is difficult because, other than
changing wording, there was no systematic coding for date marks.
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition. The 'white' areas are reflection
The label that used to be on it has been removed and the cork on the topper
is somewhat dried out but usable AND it is the ORIGINAL. This piece still has
a great look to it DIMENSIONS: 4" x 3 1/4" x 10 1/2"
