Vintage DITHRIDGE HEART MILK Glass Dish, Victorian,
1880’s, FLORAL, COLD PAINTED, Jewelry / Trinket Tray -
Valentine's Gift -
This Vintage ANTIQUE HEART MILK GLASS Dish, DITHRIDGE,
Victorian, 1880’s, Floral, Cold Painted, Jewelry, Card or Trinket
Tray (perfect on your vanity) came from a local Estate. The cold
paint gold is applied to the surface and not fired, so that it does
come off. This paint is removable
by scrubbing it off if you wish. Most people prefer to have it with
the old paint - I KNOW THAT I DO. It is really exquisite
and in VERY good antique condition. This is an extraordinary and
a gorgeous addition to any ladies vanity!
The lattice and little flowers in the design are beautiful.
The Tray measures 5 1/8” x 5” AND The #70 is embossed on
the back side.
FYI: DITHRIDGE AND CO. was an American glass concern
that was founded in the mid-1860's. It closed its doors in 1901.
Dithridge Glass Company of Pittsburgh (1861-900). Boudoir glass made during
the 1800s is a fine example of 19th-century American milk glass. Dithridge and Company was
located in New Brighton, Pennsylvania.
